I am a big lover of all things fairytale and fantasy, one of my favourite stories is Alice in Wonderland. I love all of the imagery and imagination! I even am hoping to have a (subtle) theme of Alice in Wonderland in my new house, including plans for a Mad Hatters Cocktail Party housewarming 😀
Look at what my lovely friend Joey sent me.
She’s amazing, she loves paper and pens and stamps and sending letters! Check out her blog if you love those things too~ So Joey.

For my future house, I imagine an organised chaos. I’m not exactly a tidy person but everything does have its place, I just have a lot of stuff! The best thing for me is to keep things simple and have a lot of storage, and then just have colourful things that I can move around or change as soon as I get bored. Something I imagine for my future kitchen is a subtle Alice in Wonderland theme, which includes, for decoration, mismatched tea cups hanging on the wall somehow. When I was on the Isle of Wight we went into this tiny second hand store in Ryde, which sold old, pretty things. I fell in love…. I got these 2 tea cups for £6!

So I finally treated myself to this John Lewis sewing machine I’ve had my eye on for a while. I was trying to make my cat a neck tie (!) with my old machine and I just couldn’t make it work so the next day I went out and bought this! It was only £99 and I had £30 voucher that I hadn’t yet used from Christmas. It’s really great, I’m sewing again!!
I bought this ‘Feminist’ necklace by Kate Rowland from her etsy shop, and I love it!
I also take photos! I’ve just uploaded some to my Flickr! http://www.flickr.com/photos/josieray/
