Another Christmas gift, for a friend. To go with her bedroom decorations in her new house.
Adapted from a pattern found here.
To design cross stitch patterns I use graph paper such as in the photo above. The only form I have found this in is A4 refill pads, and I have been searching for a smaller notebook with this paper with no luck. So I decided to create my own.

So, I actually made this last year when winter WAS coming! But with the new series on I felt it was relevant to post!
So here’s my Game of Thrones themed Cross Stitch, of the Stark house banner “Winter is Coming” in white on a grey background with the sigil of a Dire Wolf. I found a picture of this stylized Dire wolf which I think is used for the TV show, and drew it out on graph paper, using a lot of half squares and going over two squares etc to get the curved lines. Really pleased with how it turned out.
So I posted in January about my piece for the I’m a Piece campaign with Save the Children and the Craftivist Collective. Today they came to London and I went along to see them! It was really great to see, I took along my manager and a lady who works in my office and they loved it too and thought it was moving and inspiring. I spotted my piece “Food for Thought”! Here it is in the middle:
