Harry Potter is 34 today, so here’s my Throwback Thursday to my Harry Potter logo cross stitch. It’s one of the favourite things I’ve made, but not my favourite thing TO make as the metallic gold thread drove me mad!!!!

So I finally treated myself to this John Lewis sewing machine I’ve had my eye on for a while. I was trying to make my cat a neck tie (!) with my old machine and I just couldn’t make it work so the next day I went out and bought this! It was only £99 and I had £30 voucher that I hadn’t yet used from Christmas. It’s really great, I’m sewing again!!
Big thanks to Joey at ‘So Joey’ for blogging an interview with me!

To design cross stitch patterns I use graph paper such as in the photo above. The only form I have found this in is A4 refill pads, and I have been searching for a smaller notebook with this paper with no luck. So I decided to create my own.
